ABSOLUTE HORSEPOWER; Building Hot Cobra's in a Cool Somerset Village

Nestling in south Somerset is the village of Chelston , with the Black Down hills in the distance and signs of spring appearing where ever you look, it is the archetypical rural landscape. Amongst the greenery you may hear the whisper of a distant stream, a bird on the wing, a gentle breeze caressing the leaves of trees expectantly awaiting the summer’s warmth.

The Classic Show NEC 2008

Last weekend saw what has become recognised as the grand finale of the classic car show calendar, and as you would expect, lived up to its reputation. There was so much to see that I suspect many people like me came away thinking that they could have attended a second time to really appreciate it all.

How You can make your car a Hydrogen Hybrid and save 20-50% on fuel. Simple DIY method.

I drive a car that has a unit in it making Hydrogen and Oxygen out of water as I drive. The gas is sucked into the engine with the air and mixes with the fuel. This makes the fuel burn faster and cleaner, giving more power and cleaner exhausts. It cost me less than £20.00 to make and I save 25% on fuel costs. You can do this too.

The opportunity to drive a classic car is immensely appealing and ownership of such cars has never been more popular than it is at present. Bristol Italian Car Day 26 April 2008............ No sign of the Italian Stallion, but there was plenty of horse power.

We must once again send our thanks to the Alfa Romeo Owners Club and Bristol city council for what turned out to be another superb day for Italian car buffs. The weather was kind and a huge crowd turned out on the day to welcome the exhibiters, many of whom travelled a great distance to be there.

A Guide to Buying a Classic British Sports car

As I browsed through the pages of this book I realised what a tremendous source of knowledge it is but I can’t help feeling that the author, Peter Hingston, has set out to more than wet our appetites with over 150 marques from 1945 to the 1980s.

Winning is not Enough ( Sir Jackie Stewart's Autobiography )

I normally steer clear from Biographies by Sportsmen and women usually because I was never that sports orientated and the books themselves can often be a little tedious. An endless catalogue of facts and figures that while temporarily interesting leaves you with nothing of the heart and soul of the author.

1988 Plymouth Fury

I have in the past read stories about enterprising Brits buying classic cars from America, making an epic journey across several states before arriving back in Blighty and both car and owner living to tell the tale. Not that unusual these days, except this one returned with an official deputy sheriff!
